For the third year in a row the Kununurra Community Resource Centre brought this event to the ladies of Kununurra thanks to a Shire quick grant and in partnership with Kimberleyland Holiday Park.
"The CRC has enjoyed being a part of this annual event since 2012,"said CRC Manager Natika Hawes-Wright, "anything that helps to highlight the fact that, though we might be thousands of kilometres apart, through mediums such as ABC Open's video projects and the wider acceptance and use of technology, we are all sharing similar stories and experiences of life in the bush and we really are able to connect quite easily."
As the sun was setting over the Kimberley the women had the opportunity to chat and take in the spectacular scene of Lily Creek and Sleeping Buddah before watching the broadcast from Westlink of a compilation of ABC Open's "Life's Big Questions" videos from other West Australian women.
"There were a few giggles and some sighs of understanding throughout the clips, as most of us could relate well to these women, who are much like us, being asked questions such as, what would you tell your 16 year old self, and what's the most annoying thing about you?"
If you would like to see the clips shown, you can come into the CRC to view them or for more of the same from across the country check out ABC Open!
