Every year it seems to happen faster as places have been snapped up in under one hour by 223 swimmers (379 participants). The 10km solo category proved most popular, “selling-out” in just 13 minutes. There are a handful of team places still available, but are expected to sell out very soon. The swim takes place on 6th May 2017 at Lake Argyle with teams and solo’s taking on a 10km or 20km open water swim. Swimmers are encouraged to head to www.lakeargyleswim.com for further information. Constitution/New Model Rules/Necessary Changes - how they affect your Club - WORKSHOP On the 17th of November ( next Thursday ) Natika and I will be holding a workshop to discuss the rules checklist for the new Associations law : http://www.commerce.wa.gov.au/sites/default/files/atoms/files/assocruleschecklist.pdf and to help you work through the necessary changes to your constitution as specified by the Act.
Hope fully you are all aware of these changes and that the transition period of 3 years commenced on July 1st . Associations must review and update their rules as well as introducing a number of changes involving Come to the CRC on Wednesday night to start your journey to becoming a Coach.. Hop on a laptop and work your way through the course content with group discussion optional. From 5- 7pm we will work through the first half of the free online course, with the option to return for the second half of the course, the following week. Please RSVP by tomorrow. Beginning Coaching is a prerequisite for all sports coaches, and after completion you can use it towards specific sports coaching. EKSA's Sports Day with Matt HodgsonAs part of the East Kimberley Sports Association's Sports Awards, the Committee has organised for Matt Hodgson , the Guest speaker to host a sports day on Saturday morning. This will be held at the KDHS oval to coincide with the school fete, from 8am to 10am. Refreshment will be provided. This is open for all children. Children under 10 will require a parent to accompany them.
