Association Support Officer (Club Development and Volunteer Coordinator)
My name is Renee Haysey, I am now the Association Support Officer which is Club Development Officer (CDO) and the Volunteer Coordinator combined into one role through a grant from the Department of Sport and Recreation and Volunteering WA. The Club Development Scheme is a statewide partnership throughout Western Australia, generally in partnership with Local Government. The Kimberley Volunteer Hub is a relatively new initiative of Volunteering WA and is part of another statewide network of hubs set up by various organisations. There are 42 CDO's around Regional WA helping 3462 Clubs to link to their State Sporting Associations, Regional Associations and to funding opportunities including assistance with Grant applications for your sporting group or club. I can also work with your committee to improve your governance and Club sustainability. As sport is the glue that keeps our community cohesive,it is also my role to assist and recognise the invaluable work and dedication of the many volunteers that make sport happen. I look forward to continuing to work with the East Kimberley Sporting Clubs and Groups and Volunteers as they develop, supporting their important contribution to our community. Please feel free to drop in if you are passing by or send me an email to arrange a convenient time to meet up. Don't forget to keep up with the Club Development news each week on our Club Development Blog page. |
