Executive
Chair
Debra Pearce Deb Pearce is a local environmental management and community development consultant. Deb has been hanging around the East Kimberley since 2006, is experienced in civil and environmental project management, Indigenous engagement and raising teenagers. Deb holds a Bachelor of Science degree, Master of Arts in Ecologically Sustainable Development and a PhD in Geography. Most recently she has been a project manager on the Ord Expansion project. |
Vice Chair
Andrea Bolten Andrea and her family are part of the pioneering farming community of Kununurra - having been one of the first families to commerically grow chia for its health benefits. Andrea helps run the family farm and is a dedicated community member being an active member of Rotary Kununurra and a number of other community groups. |
Secretary
Anita Sutherland Anita is the Manager of Small Business Centre East Kimberley, she holds a Certificate IV in Small Business Management and Training and Assessment and is currently studying a Bachelor of Business Majoring in Marketing at Swinburne University. Marketing is one of her passions, especially digital marketing and social media. Skill set includes: communication and PR, management, customer service, project management, marketing strategies. |
Treasurer
Shan Shanmuganathan Shan is the chief financial officer at Wunan in Kununurra. Shan has a degree in Business Studies from Massey University New Zealand and is he is a member of the institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand as well as a member of the Australian Professional National Accountants. |

Andrea Brogmus
Andrea currently manages day to day operations of the family business (Mango Farm) and works full time as Customer Service Officer at the Kununurra Police Station. She has extensive experience in business administration and is conversant with the issues and challenges we face in Kununurra. She's lived in Kununurra since 1987, so believes she's almost a local. |
Bonny Rugendyke
Born and raised in Canberra, Bonny moved to Kununurra in 2006 with husband Don Learbuch. During her time in the Kimberley, Bonny has been an active and respected member of the community. Among other roles, Bonny has worked as Office Manager, Marketing Manager, Ward Clerk and Cafe Manager. In 2013, Bonny was the Volunteer Coordinator for the Ord Valley Muster. More recently she's run a busy and successful small business in commercial and domestic cleaning. Volunteer roles in the community include Treasurer, Kununurra Speedway Committee (2012 – 2014) and Kununurra Agricultural Society Committee (since February 2016). I am honoured to be a member of the CRC Committee for 2017, and I believe I can bring valued support to the organisation. |
Don Learbuch
Don has lived in Kununurra since 2006. He's a passionate butcher and manages the butcher shop in the local Tuckerbox IGA. Don actively volunteered as an ambulance officer, and was Chairman of St John Ambulance Kununurra Subcentre Committee for 5 years. He also served 3 years as a councillor with Shire Wyndham East Kimberley. He is proud Dad to 4 beautifully, well adjusted children. |
Beth Hales
Beth currently works at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and doubles as a mango/lime packer during the season. Beth has been part of the Kununurra community since 2008 after spending 6 years in Derby and deciding the Kimberley region is the best place to live. She has experience in project management, Indigenous engagement, business/contract administration and information management |
Joanne Roach
Joanne Roach has been the Library Manager at Kununurra School and Community Library for the past 7 years. Previously to this she held the position of Regional Librarian to the West Kimberley and Regional Librarian in Merredin and the surrounding shires. She has been a WA representative on the ABC National Advisory Council for 4 years and also holds Life Memberships to sporting associations she volunteered for when raising her 4 daughters. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Information and Library Studies and has spent time on the board of other CRCs within WA. |
Trevor Hone
Trevor has been in Kununurra since 2010 in this time he’s been involved in sports. Trevor holds a black belt in Taekwondo, and has over 20 years’ experience in the sport. Heavily involved in the 20 year old Kununurra Taekwondo club, Trevor is an important club member and is involved in its success. Trevor is currently working on his promotion to the next level. Previously Trevor has worked in various roles from a kitchen to a mine site, cafe and tavern roles. Trevor is currently studying a Certificate III in Aged Care whilst working in the dialysis unit and at the Juniper Centre. |
