He will be presenting this on: Thurseday 16th February 2017 From: 5:00pm to 7:30 pm Cost: $5 per organisation Where: Kununurra CRC |
Thank a Volunteer day should happen far more regularly, to allow us to show appreciation to every one of the large number of volunteers who give up their time/ expertise and hard work within the Community. Saturday morning saw the CRC/ Shire/ WA Volunteering take part in the Thank a Volunteer Day by hosting a breakfast at White-gum park, kindly cooked by The Apex Club ( another group of generous volunteers!) Representation ranged from Sporting groups, Emergency services through to Neighbourhood House and many more, all of these groups made possible by their teams of incredible volunteers. Sincere thanks to all of you who made the day possible , and hope to see more individuals and groups at the next Thank a Volunteer Day.
CRC partnered with SWEK to celebrate Seniors week, Active Ageing, in Wyndham. 10 Seniors from the group Young at Heart and a number of Juniper Seniors were driven over from Kununurra by bus, where they met with Seniors from Wyndham at the Wyndham Council chambers. Emily and Steph from Allied Health Occupational Therapists gave a talk on Fall prevention, and Maria Club Development Officer from the CRC discussed options to stay active within the Community. |
