We are excited to share some of the great things that we have been a part of over the last couple of months, we have been working closely with a number of other organisations in town, including the Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley, Kununurra Picture Gardens, the East Kimberley Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Wyndham CRC on a whole range of projects and activities.
Keep reading the newsletter for an update on the things we have been doing and the activities and events we have planned for the remainder of 2015. You might have seen us teaching a lovely bunch of ladies how to reverse a trailer, or participated in the first of our two free governance training sessions, or caught up on the news that we have welcomed Maria Geier to the team to help us deliver the Club Development role.
We have also been playing a role in getting #Gannup the #CRCGuideDog around the state, Red Dog style ... you may have seen him on Facebook or heard about his travels on ABC Kimberley earlier on, this is all a part of the WA CRCs efforts to raise $30,000 from around the state to buy and train a guide dog puppy.
We have plenty more on offer and planned throughout November and December before we take a well-earned rest over the festive period. Don’t miss your spot at the second Governance Training session tonight, and we are also planning another refresher on Social Media for your business in the next couple of weeks to help you keep up your social media posts for the Christmas period!
We will also be working with the Shire again for Thank a Volunteer Day on Friday 5 Dec. Don’t miss out on your spot for this great breakfast to recognise our special volunteers, be sure to call and register with the CRC for your attendance at any of these sessions!
We want to thank everyone for their support and enthusiasm for the CRC over the last year and we promise you that there is plenty on the drawing board already for 2016. We look forward to working with the groups, clubs and community members of the East Kimberley in 2016!
The team at the Kununurra CRC wish you all a happy, healthy and safe Christmas and a prosperous and collaborative New Year in 2016.
Please note that we will be closing on Friday the 18th Dec (opening by appointment only from Monday 20 - Wednesday 22nd December) for the two weeks around Christmas and New Year and will re-open on Monday 4 January 2016.
Our January hours will be advised once we have confirmed them.
